renderOutputText

Determines whether the outputText field needs to be rendered or not.

Returns:

True when the outputText needs to be rendered, otherwise false is returned.

getRequiredMessage

public String getRequiredMessage()

Gets the standard JSF message for a "required field".
This message was introduced to work around the problem that the requiredMessage attribute does not accept empty input.

The standard JSF message for a "required field".
